Dill Cucumber Wheat Beer
Hazy wheat beer, fresh cucumber and dill. Garden-fresh brine.
Dill Cucumber Wheat Beer is a hazy wheat beer poured over muddled cucumber, fresh dill and a splash of pickle brine. The cucumber and dill make it the freshest, most garden-like drink in the beer section, while the brine adds just enough salt. It tastes like a crisp cucumber salad in a glass.

- 4 slices cucumber (plus a ribbon for garnish)

How to make it
- Muddle the cucumber slices in the bottom of a tall 16-oz glass.
- Add the dill sprigs and press them gently; hard muddling turns dill bitter.
- Add the pickle brine.
- Tilt the glass and slowly pour in the wheat beer.
- Garnish with a cucumber ribbon and a dill sprig.
Bar tips
- English or Persian cucumbers have thin skins and few seeds, so there's no need to peel.
- Wheat beers foam a lot: pour slowly down the side and straighten the glass only at the end.
Make it your own
- For a near-zero version, use a nonalcoholic wheat beer (most are under 0.5% ABV).
Drink responsibly. This one is for adults of legal drinking age. Want it without the booze? The zero-proof drinks are just as briny.
