Sour Pickle Bomb
Tart sour beer with a vodka-brine shot poured in. Pucker up.
The Sour Pickle Bomb is a shot of vodka and dill pickle brine poured into a half pint of tart sour beer, such as a Berliner weisse. Unlike the whiskey-and-lager Pickle Bomb, it is sharp, sour and clean, with vodka letting the brine and the beer's tang lead. Sip it at your own pace.

- ½ oz dill pickle brine (chilled)

How to make it
- Pour the sour beer into a sturdy pint glass until it is about half full.
- Pour the vodka and pickle brine into a shot glass.
- Pour the shot into the beer, or gently lower the shot glass in.
- Garnish with a pickle chip and sip at your own pace.
Bar tips
- Lowering the glass in? Use a thick-bottomed shot glass and never drop it from a height; thin glassware can chip.
- Pick a light, unfruited sour; big fruited sours bury the brine.
Make it your own
- Use dill pickle vodka instead of plain vodka for an even brinier shot.
Drink responsibly. This one is for adults of legal drinking age. Want it without the booze? The zero-proof drinks are just as briny.
