Green Michelada
Tomatillo salsa verde, cucumber and brine. Green means go.
A Green Michelada swaps the red sauces for a blended base of tomatillo salsa verde, cucumber, cilantro, lime and dill pickle brine, topped with Mexican lager. It is bright, herbal and tangy with a gentle green-chile heat. Picture salsa verde meeting the pickle jar in a chili-lime rimmed glass.

Bar tips
- Make the green base up to a day ahead and keep it in the fridge; shake it before pouring.
- Salsa verdes vary a lot in heat and salt, so taste the base before the beer goes in.
- Pour the base through a fine strainer if you like a smoother, less pulpy drink.
Drink responsibly. This one is for adults of legal drinking age. Want it without the booze? The zero-proof drinks are just as briny.
