Spicy Pickle Mule
This mule kicks back.
The Spicy Pickle Mule is a Moscow mule with heat on heat: fresh jalapeño muddled and shaken with vodka, lime, dill pickle brine and pickled jalapeño brine, then topped with spicy ginger beer. It is hotter and punchier than the Pickle Moscow Mule, with ginger and chili burning together over ice.

Bar tips
- Muddle gently: you want juice and oil from the pepper, not pulp.
- Shaking spreads the chili through the whole drink, so the last sip isn't much hotter than the first.
- A fiery ginger beer turns up the burn; a milder one keeps it friendly.
Make it your own
- Swap the vodka for blanco tequila for a spicy pickle Mexican mule.
Drink responsibly. This one is for adults of legal drinking age. Want it without the booze? The zero-proof drinks are just as briny.
