Ranch Pickle Beer
Ranch-dusted rim, pickle brine, cold lager. Wings not included.
A Ranch Pickle Beer is a light lager with dill pickle brine and a pinch of dry ranch seasoning, served in a glass rimmed with ranch salt. The buttermilk, garlic and herbs in the seasoning echo the dill, so it tastes like a pickle dipped in ranch. Pair it with wings, fries or anything fried.

Amounts for 1, in ounces.
- 12 oz light lager (ice cold)
- 1½ oz dill pickle brine (chilled)
- 1¼ tsp dry ranch seasoning (¼ tsp for the brine, the rest for the rim)
- ½ tsp kosher salt (for the rim)

- 1 dill pickle spear (for garnish)
- 1 sprig fresh dill (for garnish)
- Glass
- pint glass
- Rim
- dill salt
- Garnish
- pickle spear and dill sprig
How to make it
- Whisk ¼ tsp of the ranch seasoning into the pickle brine.
- Mix the remaining ranch seasoning with the salt on a small plate.
- Wet the outside rim of a pint glass with the lemon wedge.
- Dip the rim in the ranch salt.
- Pour in the ranch brine.
- Tilt the glass and slowly pour in the lager.
- Garnish with a pickle spear and a dill sprig.
Bar tips
- Whisk the seasoning into the brine, never the beer; dry powder makes beer foam over.
- Ranch seasoning is already salty, so the rim needs only a little extra salt; skip it if your brine is very salty.
Make it your own
- Add a dash of hot sauce to the brine for a buffalo-ranch version.
Drink responsibly. This one is for adults of legal drinking age. Want it without the booze? The zero-proof drinks are just as briny.
